Members of the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard served as pall bearers during a ceremony for First Lieutenant William Turner on Saturday at Gilmore Cemetery. Turner was buried with full military honors near his childhood home in the village of First Fork, near present-day Sinnemahoning State Park. Turner’s plane crashed during the Korean War, but it took more than sixty years to recover and identify his remains.
