Jim Thompson will receive the Hometown Mentors’ Lifetime Achievement Award and is among the inductees in this year’s Cameron County Sports Hall of Fame. Also being inducted are Beth Summerson Lane, Larry Boring, Dennis Hockenberry and Fred Williams. Thompson is shown with his wife, Joann. The ceremony will take place at CCHS on October 17.
