Each year Emporium Borough hires two or three college students to help with mowing (approx. 20 acres), weed-eating, sanitation collection, cleaning storm basins, sweeping, cleaning windows, painting, mulching and plenty of other tasks that need done around our Borough. Shown are this year’s summer employees, Brogan Lovett (left), Josh Reynolds and Cain Barr (in truck) planting and mulching around the Municipal Building. They do a great job and save the borough both time and money; allowing the permanent crew time to go after the other day-to-day tasks during the summer months.
