  (1939-2014) David T. Blinzler, age 75, of Erie, passed away Monday (Dec. 22, 2014) at Saint Mary’s Asbury Ridge, where he had been a patient since October of this year.   

Timothy Floravit

  (1979-2015) Timothy A. Floravit, 35, of 140 Baker Road, Beaver Falls, and formerly of St. Marys where he was born and raised, died on Wednesday (Jan. 7, 2015) following injuries sustained in an accident in Clarion County.  

Eleanor Walden

  (1921-2015) Eleanor A. Walden, 93, of Manor Care Potomac, Potomac, Maryland, formerly of 175 Parkway Dr., Emporium,  died at Manor Care Potomac, Potomac, Maryland on Thursday morning (Jan. 8, 2015).  

Renee Streich

  (1976-2015) Renee L. Streich, 38, of 759 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, died on Tuesday (Jan. 6, 2015) at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.  

Harold Lininger

  Harold G. Lininger, 92, died Sunday (Jan. 11, 2015) in Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital, DuBois.  

Robert Steffer

  (1984-2015) Robert Steven Steffer, Jr., 31, of 101 Meadow Rd., died Sunday night (Jan. 10, 2015)  at Montefiore-UPMC, Pittsburgh.

Free Taco Dinner For Local Volunteers

    All volunteers serving with the Emporium and Sinnemahoning Fire companies, Cameron County and Sinnemahoning Ambulance services, Mountaineer Search and Rescue, and Cameron County Emergency Management are invited to a free taco dinner on Saturday, Jan. 24th. The dinner will be at the Emporium Firehall from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  

March For Life Bus Trip

    The Elk County Right to Life group is sponsoring a bus to the Annual March for Life in Washington, DC on Thursday, January 22. Cost is $35.  The bus will leave St. Marys at 4:15 a.m. and will return later that night.
