Bagubas Honor Seniors, Parents

    The Cameron County Baguba Wrestling Boosters were pleased to host Parent’s Night on February 10th at the last home match against the Kane Wolves. All J.O., Jr. High and Varsity wrestlers were introduced prior to the Varsity match in front of a large crowd.  

JO Bagubas Compete At Johnsonburg, Port Allegany

    On February 7th the J.O. Bagubas traveled to Johnsonburg to compete in both the open and novice divisions of the Under Armour Tournament. In the open tournament, the team had two place finishers. Josh Smith (age 8, 80 lbs.), won both of his matches to take first.

C.C. Outdoor Youth Assoc. Gives ‘Head Start’ To Wildlife Education

    Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program that provides education, health, and nutritional services for children between 3 and 5 years old. This service is provided by Northern Tier Community Action Corporation.  Head Start gives children the opportunity to experience new adventures and to be curious and creative. 

Blood Drive Exceeds Goal

    The American Red Cross Blood Drive was held at the Emporium VFW Rooms on Thursday,  February 12th.  Thirty-seven donors were presented with a total of 39 productive donations.  There was one deferral.  Goal for the day was 35, so everyone was very pleased once again to go over the goal. Kindergarten Registration

    Woodland Elementary School will hold Kindergarten registration on Monday, February 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Children must be five (5) years of age on or before July 1, 2015 to be eligible to enter kindergarten.

    The Cameron County Food Pantry will hold a distribution for people determined eligible on Wednesday, February 25,  from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the building located behind the Northern Tier Community Action offices at 135 West Fourth Street.
