The new Driftwood Senior Center is now open for business, serving area seniors on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The new facility boasts offices, a modern kitchen, plenty of parking and a large common room, and was made possible by donations and a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Furnishings have been donated by local individuals and corporations, including new office furniture from Exco Resources, LLC, kitchen appliances and supplies from Wal-Mart and photos from local Wildlife Photographer Phil Burkhouse. In the future when the center has developed more in the community, they may want to check out sites like Versare to find office furnishings that suit them and the business.
