Cameron County Senior Girls Finish Perfect Season

The Cameron County Senior Little League softball team completed an undefeated league season last Friday as they handed second place Coudersport a 11-5 defeat on the road. The home team’s only previous loss was a 14-12 thriller at Cameron County earlier in the season.

“After losing two all-star games earlier in the week, I was wondering how my team would respond in an environment where we haven’t played well in years past,” said Coach Ralph McKimm.

“With our undefeated record on the line, we traveled to Coudersport to play basically a league title game. We win and we are league champs and undefeated. Coudy wins, we are co-champs. I basically asked my team, do you want a 13-1 record and share of a title, or do you want to go 14-0 and claim a championship on your own? They answered my question early, as we batted around in the first inning, scoring six runs.”
