Carnovale Named Mayor of the Year

Emporium Borough Mayor Bruno Carnovale and current Borough Council President Luann Reed were both honored at a recent meeting of the Pennsylvania Borough Association for their service to the community.

Carnovale has served as a borough official for more than 50 years, first as a council person for 18 years, then as Civil Service Chairperson for the Emporium Borough Police Department for four years, and most recently, as Mayor for the past 28 years, beginning in 1988.

Council member Randy Frey nominated Carnovale for the Mayor of the Year Award, and included a wealth of information to qualify him for this award.
