Cash Bash, VFW Open House Well Attended
Two events held at the Cameron County Vets Club over the past week were very well attended.
Last weekend, an open house was held to celebrate the seventieth anniversary of the founding of Miller-Raffaele VFW Post #6221 in Emporium. Saturday, the VFW Auxiliary held the tenth annual Cash Bash, with proceeds earmarked for two local organizations.
Three proclamations were presented to the VFW to commemorate the club’s anniversary.
U.S. Representative Glenn Thompson (R-PA) attended the entire two-hour event, browsing the displays and speaking to veterans, volunteers and visitors. He announced the open house on the floor of the House of Representatives prior to traveling to the event.
