  (1931-2017) Roland “Dale” Dunkle, 85, of Crosby, died Saturday afternoon (Feb. 11, 2017) at Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital after a brief illness.      

  (1962-2017) David A. Keller, 55, of 216 E. Allegany Ave., died Sunday morning (Jan. 29, 2017) at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys.    

  (1925-2017) Calvin Hugar, 91, of 7838 University Garden Dr., Winter Park, Florida, also a resident of Driftwood, died in Winter Park, Friday evening (Jan. 27, 2017).    

  (1952-2017) Kurt D. O’Brien, Sr., 65, of Westport, died Monday (Jan. 23, 2017) at his residence.      

  Kathaleen Ann Taggart-Hastings-Lang lost her battle with cancer on Jan. 4, 2017, after a nine month struggle.      

  (1919-2017) Ora Ruth Olivett, 97, a resident of Guy and Mary Felt Manor, formerly of West Fourth Street, and the Grove House, died Monday (Jan. 23, 2017), in Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys.      

  (1937-2017) Nancy L. Wennerstrom, 79, of Costello Road, Austin, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2017) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.    

  (1944-2017) Bonnie L. Bonawitz, 73, of North Main Street, Austin, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2017) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.    

  (1937-2017) Mary R. Serianni, 79, of 71 Mountain View Rd., died Monday night (Jan. 23, 2017) at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.    

  (1933-2017) Richard W. Hickoff, 83, of 804 Rich Valley Road, died Sunday evening (Jan. 15, 2017) at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie.      

  (1924-2016) Mary Rose Petruzzi, 92, of the Residential Care Center at The Lutheran Home at Kane, formerly of 200 Holman St., Kane, died Friday (Dec. 23, 2016) at UPMC Hamot in Erie.      

  (1926-2017) Virginia A. Segulin, 90, of Route 46, passed away Friday (Jan. 6, 2017) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.    

  (1927-2016) Martin R. “Marty” Benson, 89, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina (formerly of Emporium) left this life peacefully on (Dec. 11, 2016) in the Lakes at Litchfield Retirement Community’s physical therapy facility.       

  (1927-2016) Loretta Forsythe, 89, of 1730 Bucktail Rd., St. Marys,  died Friday morning (Dec. 30, 2016) at Guy and Mary Felt Manor, following a lengthy illness.    

  (1922-2016) Helen Margaret Gratton, 94, of Erie, formerly of Emporium, passed away on (Dec. 31, 2016) at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.    

  (1971-2016) Steven William “Bill” Brewer, 45, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (Dec. 22, 2016) in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.    

  (1933-2016) Joan Ellen Lyon was born April 27, 1933, in St. Marys Hospital and departed from this world with her family surrounding her on (Dec. 19, 2016) at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Joan is the daughter of the late Arthur R. (Pete) and Eulala Crawford Smith.      

  (1937-2016) Nicholas A. Palumbo, 79, of Bennett’s Valley Highway, Weedville, died on (Dec. 10, 2016) at home, after a two month illness.      

    (1932-2016) Martha A. Clark, 84, of Guy and Mary Felt Manor, formerly of 400 Spring St., died Friday morning (Dec. 9, 2016) at the Manor.        

  (1921-2016) Rose Scutella, 94, formerly of 209 Dippold Ave., St. Marys, died peacefully at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, on Wednesday (Nov. 30, 2016).

  (1962-2016) Mary Ann Mummert, 54, of 1095 Highland Dr., Mechanicsburg, passed away at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, on Sunday night (Oct. 30, 2016)  following a lengthy battle with a brain tumor.    

  (1935-2016) Robert Kenneth “Bob” Dunsmore, 81, of Shinglehouse, passed away Sunday (Oct. 30, 2016) in his home surrounded by his loving family.

  (1955-2016) Patricia Ann Campbell Lowry, 61, of Mumford, TN, born Aug. 18, 1955, in St. Marys, passed away in O’Fallon IL Sunday (Sept. 11, 2016).      

  Richard Earl “Dick” Bennett, 82, passed away in his home, Friday (Sept. 23, 2016) in Norfolk, VA.     

  (1930-2016) Charles R. Copp, 86, of Guy and Mary Felt Manor,  formerly of West Creek Rd., died at the Manor Saturday afternoon (Sept. 24, 2016).      

(1922-2016)  Leslie “Les” Geelen, age 94, of Old West Creek Road, Emporium, died Friday, September 30, 2016, in Emporium.  Born July 21, 1922 in Rathburn, PA, he was the son of Patrick and Jenny Skillman Geelen and was formerly married to Betty Spellenburg.      

  (1942-2016) Jerry Keith Hubler, age 74, of Sinnamahoning, died at Penn Highlands, Clearfield on Thursday (Sept., 22, 2016).

  (1925-2016) Alferetta M. Barkley, 91, of Guy and Mary Felt Manor, died at the Manor on Tuesday morning (Sept. 20, 2016).    

  Eleanor C. Mayer, 85, of Emporium passed away on Saturday (Sept. 10, 2016) in Lake Mary, FL, where she had resided since April, 2015.

  (1939-2016) Russell D. Stevens, 76, of Austin, passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday (Aug. 9, 2016) under the care of the Potter County Hospice, after a long illness.

  (1940-2016) Walter F. “Walt” Keck Sr., 76, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away in his home with his loving family by his side, on Saturday (July 30, 2016) under the care of the VNA of Northwest PA Hospice, after a long illness.
