The Cameron County School District (CCSD) has been able to reinvest some money after being forced to withdraw funds from investment accounts due to the lack of state funding caused by the budget impasse.

Board Secretary Carl Mitchell reported that approximately $800,000 of the $1.1 million needed by the school to fund operations while waiting for funds to be released by the state was reinvested this month.
