Changes Made To Boro Garbage Pickup Rules
Emporium Borough officials are working to fix problems that have arisen with special garbage pickups, a service traditionally offered to residents free-of-charge.
Each resident paying a garbage bill has been entitled to one additional pick-up per year at their residence. The pick-up was intended to help residents who are performing spring cleaning or similar tasks, to remove items for them that would not be thrown out frequently and are too large, or too numerous, for regular trash day.
