Cole Memorial Installs New MRI
As part of an ongoing focus to use the latest technology and treatments available for patients, Cole Memorial has installed a next generation magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit, General Electric® (GE) Optima MR450w 1.5T GEM, at the Hospital. This equipment replaces the MRI that was installed in 2003.
Benefits of the new MRI include:
• Large 70-centimeter opening (bore) for patient comfort and reducing claustrophobia
• Feet-first scanning also for claustrophobic patients
