New representatives to the board of the Cameron County Ambulance Service (CCAS) are being appointed by municipalities across the county following a request for funding from the struggling ambulance service.

At their regular monthly meeting held last Tuesday, supervisor Bill Hopwood was appointed to serve as the township representative on the board. The Emporium Borough made a similar move at their recent meeting the previous night, appointing Borough Manager Don Reed to fill their new representative position due to his experience minding the financials for the borough. Chief Clerk Brenda Munz will represent the county.
