Decrease In Local Unemployment Numbers
Local unemployment numbers continue to decrease despite slight increases or stagnation across the rest of the state.
The Commonwealth’s unemployment rate ticked up by one-tenth of a percent to 5.6% for the month of June, 2016, and recently-released county numbers show that Cameron County’s unemployment rate decreased during that period, from 7.1% in the month of May to 6.9% in June.
