Karate classes will be offered to students in fifth through twelfth grade later this month at no cost to parents.

The classes will be sponsored by Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (ADAS) in response to answers submitted by Cameron County School District (CCSD) students on the Pennsylvania Youth Survey (PAYS).

“The PAYS survey showed us that these kids need activities that promote healthy habits,” stated ADAS staff member Sheri Harrier. “We think that an alternative activity mixed with education is perfect to meet the deficit in this county.”
