From the Bleachers

I spent Saturday celebrating Slippery Rock University’s homecoming at one of my fraternity brother’s cabin on the banks of Slippery Rock Creek and had a great time getting reacquainted with guys I have not seen in thirty years; but, to be honest, we never got to the actual football game. This was especially unfortunate since The Rock demolished my wife’s alma mater, California, 56-21.

Clarion remained unbeaten by defeating a winless Edinboro squad and the Golden Eagles are in first place in the PSAC West and are on a serious roll. Former Red Raider, Andrew Fragale had another big day with five tackles and teammate, Kevin Genevro, an ECC grad, caught two touchdown passes. Genevro, son of the former Red Raider basketball star by the same name, has now caught twenty-one passes for 464 yards with five touchdowns to help the Golden Eagles to a 6-0 start.
