The PIAA basketball championships are ongoing; although, as of today (Sunday) all of the District 9 teams will have been eliminated. Elk County Catholic was ousted by Kennedy Catholic and though comparing ECC to Kennedy isn’t really equitable, I have a hard time feeling sorry for private schools competing in what should be a small rural school division.
I really would like Ridgway to beat Constitution, a Philadelphia City League team, today in Danville in Class AA, but the Elkers will have an impossible task. Constitution, according to their website, is located close to Independence Mall and has city-wide admission. I wonder how that population compares to the Ridgway School District?
