Cameron County Echo

The Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity baseball team had two games last week and split the two contests that were both shortened due to the PIAA ten run rule. On Wednesday they won in five innings over the Northern Potter Panthers and on Friday they dropped a game to the Oswayo Valley Green Wave in six frames.

On Wednesday at the Cameron County Little League complex the Raiders scored in every at bat to defeat Northern Potter, 13-3.

CCHS had just nine hits but took advantage of eight walks and two errors to collect the easy win. Marcus Brown worked all five innings to notch the win, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out seven and walking three.

First baseman Derek Rieder led the Cameron County offense with three hits including a pair of doubles and three runs batted in. Alex Umble also had a good game with a single, double, two RBIs and a run scored.
