Fugitives Arraigned on Burglary Charges

Two men who were wanted by state parole appeared in court Thursday following their arrest near a Wykoff Run camp over the weekend.

Elijah Jacob Conser, age 21, of Kayla Lane in Punxsutawney, and Austin Obrien Eckert, age 22, of Green Springs Road in York, were both picked up by Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) after a foot chase through the Wykoff Run area.

Preliminary hearings were held for both the men, who are facing 16 charges each. The charges vary slightly for each individual, but include misdemeanor and felony counts of burglary, flight to avoid apprehension, receiving stolen property, theft from motor vehicles, theft by unlawful taking and related charges, all stemming from their alleged involvement in thefts from camps in the Sinnemahoning area.
