High Winds Bring Down Emporium Facade

The façade on an Emporium business came down due to high winds a week before tear-down of the structure was expected.

Emporium Borough Manager Don Reed stated that a portion of the former Admit One building’s façade broke loose and fell part-way to the ground due to wind gusts of 40-60 miles per hour last week.

The collapse occurred at around noon last Monday. Reed stated that no one was in the immediate area at the time of the incident, and there were thankfully no injuries reported.
