Historical Walk Through Bradytown

Cameron County Historical Society is hosting a historical walk through Bradytown on April 22, starting at 10 a.m.

Local historian Junior Murray, along with Cameron County Historical Society board member Wendy Davis, will guide the hike.

“Though Bradytown is now a ghost town, it was once full of activity,” Davis said. “Bradytown was formed in the early part of the 1900s to provide housing for the bustling and growing coal-mining industry.”

This village had about 50 houses, a school and a boarding house. Though no houses remain, there are many clues to their existence scattered around this area, Davis said.
