Despite outgaining the home team by one hundred yards, the Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity football team remained winless on the season as they were beaten at Smethport 12-7 last Friday night.
The Raiders amassed 331 yards to just 237 for the Hubbers, but three empty trips deep in Smethport territory in the first half allowed the home team to stay in position to squeeze out the win in the closing minutes.
The Red Raider offense had little difficulty moving the ball in the first half using a balanced attack. Tristan Reed, who had ninety-seven yards rushing on thirty carries, did most of the damage on the ground, while quarterback Adam Streich completed nine of sixteen passes for one hundred sixty yards and added thirty-nine yards rushing.
