It’s So Cold That

It’s So Cold That

by William Crisp

As a person who has held an outdoor job as long as I’ve been working, I’ve become an expert in two things; cold weather jokes and how to stay warm. I’ve been a paperboy, farmhand, carpenter, soldier, farmer and a warden and, at times, several of those at once. My choices for earning a living have placed me into some unique and uncomfortable places.

My reward has been severe hypothermia twice, bad enough to require medical help…twice, but I received it once. I was in an arctic warfare unit for a number of years but actually managed to fall victim to hypothermia not there but while in the Deep South.
