Jury Selection Cancelled, Defendants Negotiate Pleas

Six defendants appearing for jury call hearings prior to jury selection were able to negotiate plea arrangements or were granted more time to work out deals at monthly return day proceedings held Tuesday in Cameron County.
Four of the six defendants agreed to terms in negotiated plea arrangements between representatives of the Commonwealth and their defense attorneys. Jury selection was scheduled for next Tuesday.
Despite a number of personnel changes and a full docket, court proceeded in much the same fashion as it has in recent years.
