Kane Resigns As PA Attorney General

 

 

The highest-ranking law enforcement official in the state has resigned her position after being found guilty of nine criminal charges including obstruction of justice, conspiracy and felony perjury following her trial last week.

Kathleen Granahan Kane, age 50, of Clarks Summit, was found guilty by a jury of felony perjury and misdemeanor counts of false swearing; obstructing the administration of law; official oppression—arrest, search, etc.; conspiracy; official oppression—deny rights; conspiracy—deny rights; and official oppression—deny rights/privileges following a week-long jury trial.
