The Cameron County High School Lady Red Raider softball team had three games last week and won two home contests while falling on the road. On Monday they defeated Port Allegany and on Wednesday they nipped Smethport but on Thursday were beaten at Brockway.

On Monday Hannah Lathrop hit a two run homerun in the first inning for the visiting Port Allegany Lady Gators, but it was not nearly enough as the Lady Raiders collected a 5-2 victory.

After surrendering the two runs in the first inning, CCHS hurler Laila Smith shut down the visitors scattering eight hits and striking out seven without walking a batter. Smith also had a great offensive game with two doubles and a triple. Shortstop Amily Schatz and third baseman Sami Bickford added two hits each while Taylor Britton had a double and Alyvia McKimm and Kaitlyn Burgett had singles.
