Local Election Results Match Closely With National Outcome
The national results of last Tuesday’s General Election for President of the United States and down-ticket offices matched closely to Cameron County’s voting outcomes.
In the Presidential election, Republican businessman Donald Trump beat out Democrat and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to take the nation’s top seat.
The two candidates have waged war on each other since earning the nominations of their respective parties, with mud-slinging, allegations and criminal accusations coming from both sides. Both parties were divided throughout the primaries and general election, but thankfully, both candidates have called for peace and reconciliation following the results.
