Local Unemployment Numbers at 7%
The Cameron County unemployment rate has increased to 7.0%, up more than half a percentage from September of 2014.
Approximately 200 people are currently unemployed according to seasonally-adjusted numbers released by Pennsylvania Work Stats with the Department of Labor and Industry. Of the county’s 2,100 employed workers, approximately 1,000 work in the manufacturing sector.
