‘Mail Carriers’

Hello Kent,

After reading your Echo column of January 27, I have some post office comments which I hope are of interest to you.

My father, Art Williams was employed for many years at the Emporium post office, mainly as a carrier in the central ward of the town from late 1930s to the 1950s.  The carrier for the west ward during some of that time was Byron Murray and for the east ward George Summerson.  The postmaster for many of those years was Frank Egan.
