Combatting Chestnut Blight In Cameron County

Chestnut trees are being planted in several areas in Cameron and Potter counties to counter a blight that devastated the species during the first half of the twentieth century.

Jim Zoschg, his brother, Steve Zoschg, and Lynn Newcomer have all purchased chestnuts that are resistant to the blight in order to restore stands of chestnut trees to north central Pennsylvania.
