Commissioners Updated On Progress of New 911 System
Cameron County Commissioners heard a presentation by a representative of MCM Consulting on the progress of the regional 911 system and updates on the efforts to pass a house bill that would provide more revenue to local 911 funding.
MCM President and CEO Mike McGrady emphasized cost savings and enhanced capabilities available through the recent system upgrades.
“It’s exciting. Cameron is a smaller county, but technology-wise you are on the forefront because these other counties were willing to go in on it with you,” McGrady stated.
