County Honors Deceased Veterans On Memorial Day
Memorial Day was celebrated in Emporium with a parade, memorial service, veterans’ luncheon and baseball and softball games.
The annual parade stepped off at 10 a.m. from Emporium’s East End, winding its way through town to the Big Flag Memorial on the far western side of town. The parade was led by Emporium Borough Police and a float full of veterans of various wars.
