Ceremonies were held this weekend in honor of a local man killed while serving his country during the Korean War.

“We strive to never leave a fallen comrade behind. It took 62 years, but Bill Turner is home,” stated Brigadier General Frank Sullivan, a native of Potter County and a veteran of the Korean War, during his speech memorializing U.S. Air Force First Lieutenant William “Bill” Turner during memorial services on Saturday at Park United Methodist Church in Coudersport.
