According to Commissioner Glen Fiebig, “Flood insurance is the topic of discussion for Cameron County,” and that held true at both the commissioners’ regular meeting on Thursday and a visit by United States Representative Glenn Thompson (R-PA) on Wednesday.
Thompson visited Emporium as part of a tour of the region to announce the launch of his re-election campaign for a House seat, but residents concerned over the exponential rise of flood insurance rates quickly turned the meeting toward that topic
