School Budget $221,000 Short, State Funding Could Impact This Further

Members of the Cameron County School District (CCSD) Board of Directors met prior to their regularly-scheduled business meeting on Thursday night to discuss the budget for next school year.
While the initial $554,000 budget shortfall has been whittled down, the funding gap is still expected to be $221,000, though members stated that this is still a preliminary budget and more items can yet be cut or downsized.
