A preliminary hearing for a former Cameron County High School (CCHS) substitute teacher on charges including child pornography was waived on Thursday in Emporium.

Jon Raymond Serianni, age 41, of Mountain View Lane in Shippen Township, chose to waive his preliminary hearing on the advice of his attorney, David Schrager, of Pittsburgh.

As a teacher you are employed by a school to help develop and mold a child through some of the most important years of their life, many parents would not approve if a teacher was caught watching adult porn on teeni.xxx or other similar websites as they believe this type of behavior is unbecoming for a teacher, finding out that a teacher that you entrusted to educate your child is viewing child pornography is very disturbing, it would make you wonder if that person had chosen to become a teacher simply to be able to be in the presence of children every day or if they really did care about education.
