Shippen Approves County’s Bid For Route 155 Property

Shippen Township Supervisors voted to remove another hurdle in the demolition of a former business property in Prospect Park during their regular meeting held last Tuesday.
Supervisors approved a bid placed by Cameron County Commissioners for purchase of the former Furniture for Less store on Route 155 just north of Emporium for $1.00, and also agreed to a request for tax forgiveness in the interest of putting the building on the ground.
