Mud Hens Eliminate Alle-Catts From Playoffs

The Emporium Alle-Catt baseball team traveled to Crosby on Sunday but was ousted from the Allegheny-Cattaraugus League playoffs by the Mud Hens, 9-3.
Crosby jumped out to a lead with four first inning runs and then pulled away for the win with five more in the sixth.
Saul Solveson was the starting pitcher for Emporium and was staked to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Navada Waterman led off the game with a double and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Solveson.
