National Archery Tourney

Cameron County School District (CCSD) recently held a local National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP)  competition with 22 students attending.

CCSD students, grades 5-12, had the opportunity to shoot in the tournament and are reaping the benefits of the lifelong sport of archery. NASP involves physical activity in which virtually every student can participate and boys and girls can participate together.

Medal winners for High School were: 1st, Dylan Rieder; 2nd, Kaelee Bresslin; and 3rd, Morgan Lorenzo. Woodland School medal winners were: 1st, Harold Bailey; 2nd, Maddox Baughman; and 3rd, Ian Bolin.

Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA), one of the sponsors, has continued to work with the school district since starting the program in early 2012.
