Outdoor Club Goes Elk Viewing

Cameron County High School Outdoor Club recently took its first field trip of the school year. Ten students took an after school evening to go Elk viewing in the Benezette area.  They were accompanied by Advisors Mandy Miller, Lee Sines and Don Bickford of Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA).

First stop of the evening was the Bucktail Overlook on Mason Hill. It was the first visit there for some of the students to see the beautiful panoramic view of Southern Cameron County. The group then travelled to Hicks Run viewing area and Winslow Hill area before ending up at the Elk Country Visitor Center for the remainder of the evening
