Raider Baseball Team Falls To Otto

The Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity baseball team traveled to Eldred last Thursday but was defeated by the Otto-Eldred Terrors, 9-1. The home team outhit the Red Raiders just five to four, but six errors, including five in the Terrors’ five run fifth inning, doomed CCHS.

Sawyer Drummond was the winning pitcher, allowing one run on three hits while striking out eleven and walking two. Chase Sebastian tossed the final scoreless frame, allowing a hit while striking out two. 

Adam Shaffer took the loss for the Raiders, surrendering six runs and five hits while striking out seven and walking two in four and a third innings. Derek Rieder finished the fifth inning surrendering three unearned runs with two strikeouts and two walks and Tristan Reed threw a scoreless sixth with two strikeouts and a walk.
