Raider Junior High Track Team Competes at Johnsonburg

The Cameron County Junior High School Red Raider track and field team traveled to the Johnsonburg Invitational on Saturday and competed against nineteen other teams.
“Our kids did very well,” said Coach Shawn Bidwell.
Leading the Lady Raiders was Morgan Lorenzo, who won the triple jump with a leap of 29’6 ½”. She also was fourth in the long jump at 12’2 ½” and placed seventh in the 100m hurdles in a time of 19.87.
Hailey Hilfiger also had a good day in the jumping events finishing fourth in the high jump (4’4”), third in the triple jump (28’7 ½”) and fifth in the long jump (12’). Natalie Zucal performed well in the sprints finishing sixth in the 400m at 1:13 and eighth in the 200m with a time of 31.38.
