Raiders Win One of Three on the Road

The Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity baseball team had three road games last week and was able to put one in the win column. On Monday they dropped a non-league game at DuBois Central Catholic, on Wednesday they were beaten at Coudersport, but on Friday they rebounded to win at Port Allegany.

At DCC, the Red Raiders scored six runs in the seventh inning to tie the score but eventually fell in extra innings to the Cardinals, 10-9. 

The Red Raiders had ten hits and were the recipients of eight walks but only had one extra-base hit, a double by Bryce Bauer. Senior Derek Rieder had three hits to lead the visitors and Marcus Brown had a pair of singles with a run scored and an RBI. Brown also suffered the loss in relief as he was the last of four pitchers used by Raider Coach Jamer Cooney and gave up only th
