Shippen Township Continues To Address Ordinance Violators

Supervisors in Shippen Township are moving forward on plans to address chronic ordinance violators.

“Ordinance violations are being sent. We’re trying to take care of some problems that have been ongoing for some time,” said Supervisor Phil Brown during their monthly meeting held Tuesday. “Our hope is to get these problems taken care of, but if this doesn’t work it will go to the judge.”

Supervisors stated they have six “repeat offenders” that despite numerous calls and visits will not take care of the identified issues, which include garbage and junk on the property, unregistered and/or uninspected vehicles and buildings that are in disrepair or have become unsafe.
