Shippen Twp. To Finalize Budget

Shippen Township Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28 to officially adopt the finalized budget for the coming year.
The budget is available for public review, and notices of such will be placed in local newspapers to inform township residents wishing to look at the document.
Supervisor and Secretary Brandy Ferraro stated that revenue was more than anticipated for last year due to Marcellus Shale activity. The budget for 2017 looks positive, and does not take into account Act 13 money because discussions are still ongoing at the state level concerning collection and distribution of shale gas fees.
