Solveson Powers Catts Past Crosby

The Emporium Alle-Catt baseball team hosted Crosby on Sunday in a make-up contest and, on the strength of two home runs by Saul Solveson, defeated the visitors 8-5.
The home team trailed 5-3 after five innings but scored two in the sixth and three in the seventh to capture the win.
Ryan Bresslin started on the mound for Emporium and worked five innings allowing five runs and eleven hits, striking out four and walking one. Ralph McKimm picked up the win in relief, tossing four scoreless innings surrendering just one hit while striking out four and walking one. He also benefitted from two double plays by the Catt infield.
