Sub-Freezing Pleasing

by William Crisp

So far the New Year has been pretty cold. It’s January; bird and flintlock season is winding down and things to do are getting few and far between. I personally have been frozen to my couch watching NFL playoff football, but soon that will wax and wane down to four games, then two games, then one.

I’m not an expert about how to fill in the cold time but I do have a few ideas.

I’ve mentioned before how much I hate to be the last guy at camp, even though it usually works out that that is my role. So, in order to hold off the doldrums I’m stealing an idea from snowmobilers. We are starting a new camp tradition this year to supplement, deer camp, turkey camp, sap camp, euchre camp and walleye camp.
