The Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity football team traveled to St. Marys for their second game of the season but were turned back by the Elk County Catholic Crusaders, 27-6. The Raiders went toe-to-toe with the home team but surrendered two late touchdowns to suffer their second loss in as many games.
The first half was a defensive affair with ECC putting the only points on the board, a twenty-seven yard touchdown run by Alec Bittler. But Devin Palumbo blocked the attempt for the point after for a 6-0 score at intermission.
Cameron County had one nice drive deep into Crusader territory but was thwarted by a fumble on a botched handoff. The Raiders also had a huge goal line stand that provided momentum for the second half.
