Voter Registration Deadline Next Week
The last day to change registration or register to vote prior to the November General Election is Tuesday, October 11.
In addition to casting a ballot for the next President and Vice President, citizens will also decide on a United States Senator and Congressional Representative, Attorney General, Auditor General, State Treasurer, State Senator and a Representative to the State General Assembly.
There is also one referendum on the ballot. Voters will be asked for a yes/no vote on whether or not Supreme Court justices, judges and magisterial district judges should retire at the end of the year in which they turn 75 years of age. Currently, such individuals retire at age 70. A “plain English” statement explaining the ballot question will be available at all polling places on voting day, and is included in online documentation for absentee voters.
